Delbert D. Johnson, age 90, a lifelong resident of Perkins passed away Friday, March 2, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba. Delbert was born February 23, 1917 in Gladstone to Edwin and Sadie (Cornette) Johnson. Delbert served his country proudly as a veteran of World War II. He was united in marriage to Bertha Fournier on June 21, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins. Both Delbert and Bertha have been longtime members of the church. Delbert worked as a groundman for UPPCO for over 20 years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Delbert enjoyed spending time with his family, especially talking to his grandchildren.

3 Sons: Larry (Cindy) Johnson of Gladstone; Terry (Barbara) Johnson of Perkins; Greg (Bobbie) Johnson of Sheboygan , WI

3 Daughters: Sandra (Paul) Hoefgen of Menominee, MI; Diane (Scott) Stafford of Oconomowoc , WI; Anita Johnson of Perkins

10 Grandchildren: Patrick (Heidi) Johnson, Laura, Amy (Buddy Blahnik), and Suzanne Johnson Joseph, Joshua, and Jessica Johnson Samantha, Matthew and Carly Johnson

A Sister: Betty (Robert) Erickson of Escanaba

Numerous nieces and nephews

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Beatrice Johnson and Dorothy Gerard and two brothers Denman
