    Dear Dave,

I hope you can read your E-mail in heaven for if you can you find out just how much you were loved and will be missed by so many. I know you will be watching over your family from above as you did when you were here. No one I know of has any doubt that you are in heaven as in life you were such a shining light to everyone who knew you. Phrases such as “he always had a smile for all”, or ” he was always willing to lend a hand” are heard in any conversation about you. The worst of it was that we, nor you, had the chance to say good-bye, but you lived the very life I try to tell my Grand-daughters to live. That is to treat people in the very best way you can because you never know when the last time you will see them will be. You were loved, looked up to and envied for just being you. As you know your entire family misses you so very much and yet can take comfort in knowing that when it’s time for God to call them home, you will be there to greet them with the smile we all come to know so well.

So I say good-bye to you now and please know that I to will miss you.

My deepest sympathy to Davey’s family. Though I did not know him well, there was not a time that he didn’t have a smile and hello. It is certainly a tragedy to lose someone you love at such a young age. Please know that I have your family in my thoughts at this difficult time. May God and all those around you help you through your loss.

    Dear Sarasin Family–

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Brother Sarasin. As Jessica said above, I will always remember how he greeted us every Sunday morning for church. He had such a good, shining, noble soul. I know he will be greatly missed and I will never forget the day of his “surprise” baptism. He was a special man, and I know that you can look forward to seeing him again in the eternities. Your family is in our prayers. We love you.

    Dear Paula and Family:

I was so sorry to hear of Dave’s tragic death…though I’ve only bumped into him now and again over the years, he was always glad to see me and, I him…His smiling personality always proceeded him…It seems so many years ago that he lived in Watson, as a child, and I always thought of him as the baby of the family…Then he moved, and there were other brothers born..and he came back to Watson and I got to know him as an adult…I know his love for his family was a great thing…He will be sadly missed…All the love and good things he did in his life will sustain you in weeks and months to come…My heartfelt sympathy is with you ALL…

    Dear Sarasin family-

I am so sorry for your loss. Brother Sarasin was always so kind to me. He always seemed to be holding open the door for me at church or laughing with me in the hallway. Dinners at your home were so much fun. It was a treat just to hear him laugh. I remember going camping with your family and mine and how I just wanted to sit around the campfire with the adults to chat. He really made every conversation lively and fun and every person at ease. I offer nothing but the deepest sympathy to you all. I’ll continue in my prayers for you. Know that you have my love.

David Sarasin was a man after God’s own heart. I once told him and his daughter that I considered him to be “God’s gift to me” after he made many improvements on our property just because he liked working outside in the yard, he said. More than that,Dave went out of his way as our neighbor to meet us and befriend us. We will miss him more than words can say.

Jeff and I will never forget all of the wonderful camping memories with Dave & Paula and their children. Dave was always the first one up in the morning with the great big cast iron frying pan out over the campfire to make all of us breakfast. He was always smiling and had a heart of gold. He was willing to help everyone, whether you were family or just an aquaintance. He loved coming to our boys basketball, baseball and football games and that really meant a lot to us.
