Charlotte Julia Morley Taylor, age 93, of Ford River passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2014 at her home.

Charlotte was born March 1, 1921 in Aberdeen, Washington, the daughter of Edward Burrows and Helen Hallenbeck (Spencer) Morley. She was raised in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Arthur Hill High School. Charlotte received a Degree in Education from the University of Michigan, and a Masters in Natural History at Cornell University in New York and additional graduate studies there. Charlotte eventually took a position as an elementary school teacher in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Ithaca, New York.

    Charlotte was one of the nicest ladies I have ever met! Always gracious and extremely knowledgeable. John and I had great times visiting with she and Bill. God has chosen another Angel to grace his heavens.

    Please know that my thoughts and prayers lie with the Taylor family. Charlotte Taylor was genuinely beloved and she will be missed by so many in the Escanaba community. Please accept my sincere condolescences as well as those from so many other friends and colleagues of Charlotte Taylor, her daughter and curator at the Missouri Botanical Garden.

    Dear Donnie, I was sorry to hear of Wanda’s illness and passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Remember the good times and I hope it helps you with your loss.
