Charlie will always be fond in my heart, we graduated together, he always told the story that I was the one that made him trip on the way up to get his diploma, I told him not to trip,so he did. He was always alot of fun to be around. We have all been blessed to have know him…many many great memories of Charlie!

    To all of Charlie’s family,

We are so sorry for your loss. I graduated with Charlie, Tom knew him well too. He sure had an active life….he makes the rest of us feel like stumps!!! He was just a great guy. A wonderful sense of humor, and he will be missed at our reunions. At one of the get togethers, I can still remember when he put a “wig” or something on his head for our big group picture as a joke. It was so funny. Every time I look at that picture, my eyes go right to him. We also all grew up together in the same neighborhood, and as “East Enders” in our town. We passed his house every day on the way to Dan’s, then (Jim’s One Stop)…now A.J’s Market. Sherri, he loved those grandchildren so much. THAT was awesome! Take care, and we are sending our love and prayers to all of you.

Charlie and I grew up together in the same neighborhood, and even into adulthood, we could talk for hours. He always made you laugh and was full of very interesting information. He has done a lot of good for our community and will be miss by all that knew him. When Charlie and I were young, he was pushing a red wagon on the sidewalk and I had stopped and was sitting on the grass along side the sidewalk with Missy and Charlie lost control of the wagon and ran into me. Whenever I look at that scar on my knee, I always think of Charlie. My sincere condolences to his entire family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the pleasure of meeting Charlie many years ago through my mom Katrin. My mom used to babysit Charlie, and they has since become good friends. I often remember many phone calls home hearing about Charlie and how everything was going for him. Charlie was a great man and will surely be missed by those who knew him. I feel at such a loss for something to say that would come close to being a comfort for someone who was as wonderful as we remember Charlie of being. May you all remember all the great memories you have of Charlie, his service in the community, his love of his family, and his devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss you Charlie!

As I struggled to come up with something to say, that might possibly lighten the burden everyone feels by the loss of Charlie, one fond memory came to mind above all others. I met Charlie, when I began babysitting him when he was 10. And one thing I will always remember is that he loved ketchup sandwiches. Charlie will also be remembered for the many causes that he supported and all the service he did in the community. I was very saddened and felt a deep sense of loss learning of Charlies passing, and my heart goes out to you Sherry, and the entire family. Please know I’m thinking of you and you’ll be in my thoughts and prayers. Charlie was a wonderful man and will be surely be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Charlie was an interesting person. Seldom had we ever seen him when he did not have a smile on his face and a true love for the Lord in his heart. Life goes by so quickly that we always feel there will be time to see someone and then in the twinkling of an eye they are gone. Charlie will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. I have no doubt that Charlie is at piece and at home with Christ. Our prayers go out to Sherry and all of his family. Harlond & Julie Foster.
