Cecelia C. Gabrielson, age 82, former Gladstone resident and currently residing in the Detroit area, died Friday, July 6th, 2007 at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Cecelia was born March 29th, 1925 in Gladstone, the daughter of Erick and Lena (Malmberg) Gabrielson was raised in Gladstone and resided there until 1968, when she relocated to the Dearborn area. While living in Gladstone, she was employed by the Gladstone Canning Factory and later by the Terrace Sheltered Workshop in Dearborn Heights. Cecelia was a former member of the First Lutheran Church.

    I remember living with my grand parents and Cecelia in the Buck Eye when we moved to the UP in 1947, she was always good to me, I will always remember when she came over to the motel every day just to talk to my dad. she loved my dad.

    Sorry I couldn’t be there, but have alot of memories of Cecelia back in Bay View. Grandma and grandpa, cutting rags, and rug making. Doesn’t seem that long ago. Dick and Jackie Olsze

    I remember many times Grandma Gabrielson and Cecilia over at our house for Christmas dinner and then playing the game Scat after dinner and Aunt Cecilia beating us all.

    Our prayers are with you Dad and the rest of the family. Wish we could all be there. I love you!
