Carol Jean Wyatt, age 83, of Gladstone passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Carol was born July 28, 1937 in Gladstone, the daughter of Marian and Lydia (Hillman) Long. She graduated from Gladstone High School in 1955. She was united in marriage to William Wyatt on June 13, 1964 at the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. Carol was a longtime member at the First Lutheran Church and was active with the Sewing Ladies and Altar Guild. She worked for Michigan Bell as an executive secretary in Detroit in her earlier years and later as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Ivory Drug in Gladstone.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Curt) Spreen of Rapid River and Audra (Dave) Steinhoff of Gladstone; grandchildren, Jenna and Aaron Steinhoff and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her parents and her siblings, Lyle, Vernon, Raymond and Arlon Long and Marjorie Haglund.

Graveside services for Carol will be on Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 PM at the Fernwood Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Meyette officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the First Lutheran Church.

The Wyatt family is being assisted by the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.

    Audra and Stephanie, I was so sad to hear of your mom’s passing. Carol was always such a classy lady, gracious hostess, wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and aunt. She also had a great faith which always shown through in everything she said and did. All of us will keep the family memories and good times in our hearts. I know she will be truly missed by her loved ones and friends.
