Barbara Derbisz, age 81, of Escanaba passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Barbara was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 14, 1942, to Joseph and Henrietta (Tyrpin) Havidic.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Derbisz, Sr., her son, Robert Derbisz, and daughter, Jennifer Derbisz, all of Escanaba, Michigan. She is also survived by her younger brother, James Havidic (Rose) of Aurora, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ronald Derbisz, Jr., and her siblings: Suzanne Havidic, Thomas Havidic, and Jerome Havidic.
Barbara was a fighter and a strong woman. Most of all, she was a loving, caring wife and mother. Barbara retired from work in medical coding and billing. However, she will primarily be remembered for her kind, loving and creative spirit. She was a talented artist and wonderful cook. Barbara was also an animal lover. She had several pet cats and dogs over the years that she cherished.
Private services will be handled by Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba, Michigan.
