Barbara A. Bricker, age 47, of Gladstone, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at UP Health Systems of Marquette.

Barb was born on August 23, 1974 in Escanaba, MI, the daughter of Joseph and Wilma (Schwartz) DeBassige.

Barb was united in marriage to her soulmate, Doug Bricker, on August 3, 2010. The inseparable couple, for over 13 years, enjoyed many things, as long as they could do it together, they took joy in it. From camping, to going to the casino, to spontaneous trips to Green Bay. They truly just loved being together.

Barb also identified as an animal lover. She was one of a kind with a very big heart.
Barb was the most kind, compassionate and Loving person. There will be a void without her that can never be filled.

In addition to her loving Husband, Doug is survived by: Daughters: Shayna Dougherty
and Heather Bricker.
Sons: Daniel (Hilllary) Dougherty, Aaron (Brett) Daniels, and Justin Bricker.

Brothers: Vernon Nikunen
Gene (Wanda) DeBassige
Sister: Kris (Nick) Micheau
Great Aunt: Iola Feathers
Grandchildren: Hunter, Emma, Ethan, Kaiser, Ashlynn,

And numerous Nieces, nephews, and Cousins.

Barb is preceded in death by: Parents,
Brother: Joey Nikunen
Daughter: Amber Winnie
Furbaby: Honey
Parents-in-Law
And 3 Brothers-in-Law.

Family will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba. A funeral service with Pastor Bill Rafuse will be at 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba.
There will be a small luncheon to follow at the Rapid River Congregational Church Hall. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Bricker family.

    I am so very sorry for your loss, Dougie. Barb was such a nice lady. I always enjoyed working with her at the Casino many years ago. I am completely in shock right now. I wish I had the words, but all I can say is I’m so so sorry. May Barb Rest In Peace.

    Barb was a Great Lady, to Doug, Aaron and all Family. She was a wonderful person and will be Deeply missed. So very Sorry for your loss.

    Barb was a GREAT person I remember her when I used to talk to her on CB Radio her handle at the time was Spirit woman as I remembered her by. She will be missed she was a GREAT Person.

    Doug and family, I am so sorry for your loss of Barb. What a beautiful soul with such a kind heart. She always brightened the room without a doubt. I pray you all find peace in knowing you will see her again someday. My deepest sympathy to you all.
