Austin Michael Thorbahn, age 22, of Spaulding/Powers, passed away Friday evening, May 8, 2020, at U.P. Health System in Marquette.

Austin was born in Escanaba on November 4, 1997. His Mom and Dad, Carrie and Christopher Davis Thorbahn, raised Austin along with his 12 siblings in the Spaulding/Powers area. Austin attended the Hannaville schools.

Austin and the loving mother of his children, Alysha Savage, gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Zara and Zabrina Thorbahn. He adored his girls and his siblings and would often go on adventures with them to play in the river, take camping trips and go mudding with his big trucks. Austin had a passion for working on cars and trucks and loved to spend time with his entire family. He will be sadly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Carrie and Christopher, Austin is survived by:
Siblings: Martin, Tristian (Natasha), Hunter Davis, Ashtin, Dustin, Daultin,
Alextin, Trentin, Braxtin, Dextin, Kierstin, and Selestin Thorbahn
He is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Austin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Roy Thorbahn Sr. and Mary Ann Way, grandmother, Kimmie Sue Lalonde, and his great grandmother, Lillian Marie Way.

A celebration of life gathering to honor Austin will take place on Saturday May 30, 2020, beginning at 4:00PM, at his mother Carrie’s address West 2941 US 2/41 Spaulding, MI 49886. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.

    Its so hard to see this. Even though Tommy and I have known you for 3 years you were like a little brother to me. You were always just a phone call away if anybody ever needed anything you were always willing to lend a helping hand. This has hit your family and friends so hard. You are missed dearly

    There are just no words for such loss. We didn’t know Austin personally but you can tell from his beautiful smile that your generous kind spirit shone through him. I’m sure he was there for everyone who needed him just like his mom. We are sending all our love and prayers.

    My condolences to the entire family, & friends. I’ve known Austin for a few years & gone to school with one of his older brothers. Austin had a huge heart, always was willing to lend a helping hand & always had his shoulder open and ear open to listen to you. First time I met him I instantly felt like I’ve known him forever. Such GOOD memories with you Austin, a piece of you will always remain in everyone’s hearts. You’re an angel now in the sky, until we meet again my dude. Rock on
