Pops- Thank you for being a 2nd ‘Daddy’ to me for over 30 years. Thank you for always being there for us. Many good times were had in your back yard, all the grandkids drinking out of the hose and being sprayed by it, picking apples, playing ball, all the picnics, and of course they all got rides on the riding lawnmower!! And…….all the graduation parties in your garage. You had as much fun at the end of the night as all of us girls did! Thank you for all the wisdom you have shared/passed on to us. Thank you for making us all feel like your home was our home when we were in it.(“Let Bill eat three sandwiches before supper – he’s a growing boy!) (“Oh, it’s ok-let those kids run from end to end, they have a lot of energy!!”) Thanks for buying too many treats every week for Beandog-and thanks for taking her in all those nights when she ran away from our house and high-tailed it to yours! Thank you for being you………..I love you and I will never forget you!

I only got to know Alex late in his life. Although as time progressed and health left his failing body our brief acquantaince has left me with an indelible memory of his grace and dignity. Rest in peace good man.
