William Benson Williamson ,age 80, passed away on October 31, 2016 at his home in Gladstone, Michigan.
William was born in Trenary, MI to George L. Williamson and Velma Anna (Mills) Williamson on October
13, 1939. He is survived by his wife, Marianne (Ulrich) Williamson, of Escanaba, a brother, Gerald R. (Eileen)
Williamson of Rapid River, MI, and sisters Donna McShane of Breckinridge, Colorado, and Judy (John)
Korhonen of Palmyra, VA; two brothers, Lloyd G. (Dorothy) Williamson and Douglas K. Williamson, three nieces and eight nephews.

While growing up, Bill lived and worked on the family farm in North Delta and attended the Rapid River
School, graduating in 1956. Being interested in electronics from an early age, he built a television set
for the family from a kit. He went on to study electrical engineering at Michigan Tech in Houghton.
He served in the Michigan National Guard for several years.

After college, Bill moved to Los Angeles, CA. and worked for an aeronautics company for several years. Later,
he became a real estate agent , and built up a company of several apartment buildings and a RV park
that he bought, improved and managed . In 1970, he married Marianne , who assisted with the
management of the business. They enjoyed traveling and vacationing in Mexico .

Bill and Marianne moved to Gladstone, Michigan to be closer to family. Marianne resides at the Christain
Park Home in Escanaba.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 9 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial Services will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Stephen Gauger officiating. A luncheon will be served following the services at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapid River.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association/Greater Michigan Chapter.
