5 Tributes for “William “Sid” Young

I had the pleasure of working with Sid for many years at the Gladstone football games. He was always quick with a joke and made a point to say hello to everyone around him. Sid will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Sid was one of the nicest, sweetest guys ever… always enjoyed bumping into him when visiting home. Trips to Gladstone just won’t be the same any longer. Rest in peace, old buddy.

Mike and Connie – my deepest sympathies to you both. Over the years, I always remember getting into town and stopping at Holiday to get gas and visit with Bill. Think of you both often. Peace be with you during this time. ❤️

So many memories of Sid… a lifetime, starting in Kindergarten in 1971. I enjoyed our chats at Holiday when I was in Gladstone. I can still see him marching in the Fourth of July parade a few dacdes ago, wondering where he got the stamina after we enjoyed an abundance of alcoholic beverages the night before with everyone who was home for the fourth!
He was such a kind person, and I will miss his smile. My condolences go out to everyone who was close to him.
