William John Frazer

William John Frazer, age 84, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility.

William was born October 8, 1936, in Escanaba, the son of Clifford and Kathleen (Asp) Frazer. William grew up and graduate from Escanaba High School in the class of 1955. William worked for Mead Paper Company in Escanaba for 37 years in the yard. On October 1, 1955, William was united in marriage to his wife Shirley, and together they shared many years of wonderful memories.

William enjoyed tinkering in his garage. He loved to work on cars and enjoyed rebuilding them. He also enjoyed going to camp, hunting and fishing. William was a devoted parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock. He will be truly missed by many.

William is survived by his wife Shirley Frazer, children Kathy (Randall) Tyner, Steve (Debbie) Frazer, and Mark (Kym) Frazer, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, siblings Robert (Nancy) Frazer, Mary Marenger, Richard Frazer, Peter (Sharon) Frazer, Susan Searle, Michael (Joyce) Frazer, Patrick (Sharon) Frazer, James (Nancy) Frazer, Carol (Dave) Carlson, Donald Chenier, Norman (Joann) Chenier, Patrick Chenier, and Elizabeth Chenier.

William is preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law Robert and Flora Moore, brothers-in-law Norman Marenger and Jerry Searle, and sister-in-law Mary Frazer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William’s name may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association located at 309 S Front St. #233, Marquette, MI, 49855.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial honoring William will follow visiting at 2:00 PM at Holy Family Church in Flat Rock with Rev. Fr. Sebastian Chacko officiating. William will be laid to rest in Fernwood Cemetery.
