William (Bill) French, age 86, of Gladstone passed away on February 9th at the Veterans Hospital in Iron Mountain after a brief illness.
He was born on February 25th, 1926 in Iron Mountain, MI son of Homer and Edith (LaFreniere) French. He spent his childhood in Harris, MI where he worked on the family farm and attended school. He also worked at his brother

Don, and family, I’m sorry for your loss, Bill was an awesome guy !! We had lots of good laughs together. When he lost his vision, I was telling him about the guy on the movie “UP” Bill, its you !! When ever he was in the Saloon for pizza, I would always stop to say Hi. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, my friend.
