Died March 28, 2025

Wanda Lee Frossard, age 74, of Escanaba, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, March 28, 2025.

Wanda was born on July 13, 1950 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Mary Ann (Knaus) Derouin. She was a graduate of Escanaba High School. Wanda was united in marriage to James Frossard on September 16, 1967 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Escanaba. They made their home in Danforth prior to moving to Riverland, where they shared 48 years together and raised their 3 sons. Wanda earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Bay College and worked as a bookkeeper at Great Lakes First Federal Credit Union for 23 years, until her retirement.

Wanda’s hobbies included reading, crafting, quilting with her niece Debby Wendrick, crocheting, camping, visiting with friends, and spending time at their camp in LaBranche, but her greatest joy was her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin. Wanda hosted “Coffee Night” for more than 50 years on Monday nights at her home where her family would gather together and many others were made welcome throughout the years. She always made sure to let everyone know how much they were loved and that they held a special place in her heart. She always made everyone feel like family.

To be a part of Wanda’s beloved family was such a great honor – you were family from the start, with open arms. Her hugs were among the best things life has to offer. She was always there for her family; attending countless events, cheering them on, taking her grandchildren on their “girls’ day out” and “boys’ day out”, tea parties with her granddaughters, and so many amazing things she did with her family. She will be truly missed.

Wanda is survived by her sons Kevin (Tracy) Frossard and Jason (Pamela) Frossard; Grandchildren Kylee (Brandon) Owens, Brett (Clarissa Groleau) Frossard, Taylor (Stephanie) Frossard, Lexie (Tyler) Krause and Amber & Justin Lauscher; Great Grandchildren Isabella Berger, Lachlan Owens, Lyla Owens, Aruna Frossard, JJ Krause, Maverick Lauscher and Baby Lauscher; brother Mike Derouin, Brothers-in-law Don Timler and Earl Juneau, Sisters-in-law Karen Derouin, Edna Frossard and Donna Frossard; uncles Dale “Punchy” Derouin and Jim Katschke; aunts Susie Derouin and Barb (Jeff) Richer; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins; her dog, Tasha; and several special friends.
