To Jean’s children:Just learned about your mother’s death tonight from cousin, Terry. Your mom was such a sweet woman and great cook! My parents (Pete & Rita)spoke so fondly of her. Just think, your mom and my dad are together again as they were when they were young kids in the logging camps. My thoughts and prayers will be with you in the days and weeks ahead. Thinking of you at this sad time. Your cousin,
Lynn (LaBumbard) Kelly
To Jeans Family. We are so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I truly enjoyed getting to know her many year ago when we would have the neighborhood “club” night. I looked forward to club @ your Mom’s house because you knew without a doubt that you would have something so delicious that you had to ask for the recipe. Jean would always smile & say “oh there’s nothing to making that, it’s real easy”. She made you feel comfortable and welcome. It was a real treat listening to her stories about you kids….she did keep us laughing. I stopped by and visited with her a while back & she was still smiling & not complaing about being homebound because her “kids” were taking good care of her. Jean was proud of her family & always shared what was going on the the younger ones. We are presently in Flordia & won’t be able to attend the services, but know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. The neighborhood has lost a very sweet lady and gracious lady.

Jean loss has such a great impact on her family. But also all the people she has touch with her big smile , and good food. Moonshine Valley has lost a wonderful person and God sure got a good cook. We love you Jean and will miss you very much.

Linda, Brad, Marla, Sally, Brenda and Barb: I have so many fond memories of Jean and each of you from the Buckeye; especially in high school with Linda, and watching Jean be an amazing homemaker and counselor to each of you. She was an extraordinary woman who loved life and took no guff from anyone! My deepest sympathies to all of you. She and Mom are up there trading recipes and making dinner for everyone right now!
