Violet L. Sargent, 103, formerly of 103 River St., Nahma, died peacefully Tuesday morning at Christian Park Village in Escanaba, where she had been a resident for more than two years.
She was born March 3, 1912 in Nahma to Daisy and Herman Bramer and lived her early years there before starting what would be a lengthy career in elementary education. She graduated from St.Joseph’s High School in Escanaba in 1930 and then attended the county normal school. Her first teaching assignment was in Isabella in a one-room school. Mary Beth, Dani and Bud….So sorry to hear of your Moms passing…I know she had a wonderful and full life. She was the greatest teacher anyone could have ever had.
