What a great man! Always interesting and full of mischief. When I was a child, I loved going to Vernon & Marie’s house. Recently, it’s been a sad meeting at funerals but which Vernon always made more bearable with a funny story. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you Marie. You were always so good to my Mother, Lela.

Our deepest sympathy to you, Marie, and to your family. We will miss this very special guy. We always got a kick out of him calling Bill “The Pharmacist”, and always enjoyed his stories. He was a very special friend to my Mom and Dad.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Vernon passing.
I would see him once in a while in Penneys or at the Rapid River Mini mart. He always was smiling…. Out doing his thing for the day.
I admired how he kept himself busy…..
He was a sweet man , and will be missed.
You know he was always looking for GOOD work boots, not the kind they make now…..
And what a war hero, you must be proud>
Sincerly Cathy
