Thomas Robert Moreau, age 80, passed away Friday morning, July 31, 2015, at his home in Gladstone.

Tom was born April 10, 1935, in Niagara, WI, the son George and Madeline (MacKnight) Moreau. He was raised in Gladstone and was a 1953 graduate of Gladstone High School. Following high school, Tom acquired a position at Escanaba Paper Company before enlisting in the United States Marine Corp. where he served during the Korean War from March 4, 1954 until his honorable discharge on March 5, 1957. Following his discharge, Tom returned home to Gladstone. On June 14, 1958, He was united in marriage to the former Lorraine Karasti, at All Saints Church, and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Gladstone. Tom was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Gladstone where he also belonged to the First Lutheran Men

    Our sympathy to the Moreau family. We lived next door to Tom and Lorraine on 9th Street for several years and enjoyed their friendship. We are also members of First Lutheran Church and will miss seeing Tom at church, coffee hour, and the men’s group. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
