Thomas Francis Maggart, 67 of Rapid River passed away November 8th at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wi.
Tom was born January 4, 1955 in Escanaba, Mi to 1st Class Sergeant Winston M. and Mari (Cassidy) Maggart.
He was a graduate of Rapid River High School. After graduation he enlisted in The United States Navy. After serving he returned to Rapid River where remained a life long resident.
He was a gifted artist and talented craftsmen. He was a self-employed carpenter and ran his own business, Tom Maggart Builder. Tom was an avid sportsmen and loved spending his time on Little Bay de Noc fishing for perch and walleye. He was also known to be an expert gardener. He enjoyed being in his garden and canning, along with maintaining his beautiful flower gardens.
He is survived by his brothers, Frank (Karen) Maggart, Rapid River, Micah Maggart, Fenton, Mi. Sisters, Nell (Aleck) Green, Battle Creek, Mi, Dodie Micheau, Rapid River, Uncle, Paul Schram, Rapid River. Step-Father, Jerry Peterson, Rapid River.  Step-daughter Elisha McConnell & Granddaughter, Laurel Munoz, Gwinn, Mi
Nieces and Nephews, Marijo & Patrick Green, Shirley Schmidt,  Eric Bizeau, Shelley, Angelena, & Frankie Maggart, Zachary, Hannah, & Cassidy Micheau, Tricia Roberts, and Trina Picard. Several great nieces and nephews.

Good friend and neighbor, John Parrett
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Grandparents, William Cassidy, Paul & Dorothy Schram, Lamar & Marvel Maggart, Uncles William Cassidy & Hugh Michael Cassidy, and Brother-in-law, Craig Micheau.
There will be no service per Tom’s request. He will be laid to rest in The Rapid River Cemetery.
