Thomas Bolger Jr., 70 of West Allis, WI, died Oct. 4th 2013 at his home.
Thomas was born in Escanaba Michigan Dec. 19, 1942, son of Thomas and Kathleen (Roddy) Bolger. He attended All Saints Elementary and Holy Name High School in Escanaba, transferring to Pius XI High School in Wauwatosa Wisconsin in his junior year.
Following high school he enlisted in the naval reserves, and was called to active duty during the Cuban missile crisis. Following his discharge he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and worked for many years in the Milwaukee County Parks Dept., retiring as a park supervisor.
The love of sports and the outdoors that was reflected in his work with the parks expressed itself as well in his recreations. With a friend he built and raced a canoe, he was a member of an amateur hockey team, and was an avid hunter, traveling several times to South Dakota for pheasant hunting. The dogs he raised and trained to hunt were his constant companions.
Survivors include two sisters, Patricia McMahon and her husband Terrence of Stoddard NH, and Mary Klase of Arlington Texas, a niece, Cheryl Eder and her husband John of Dallas Texas, two nephews, Sean Klase of Arlington Texas and Stacy McMahon and his wife Louise of Chantilly Virginia. A sister, Catherine Crawford, died earlier.
Committal services will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery Chapel in Escanaba on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Emmett Norden officiating. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Bolger family.

We have enjoyed knowing Tom(Weese) for many years,I’m glad he’s at peace. He now can join his other friends, Tom Beier and Victor Evens,please keep us informed when there will be a service in Milw.

My depest sympathy to the family. I vividly remember Tom, his dogs, and Ford Ranger truck he drove. My twin sister and I worked for Tom at Lake Park the late 90’s – the first females he hired. We were the meanest painters and grass cutters of the Milwaukee Lakefront. Thanks for taking a chance on hiring 2 girls and allowing Andrea to meet her husband, then fellow park-worker, Mike Wrench.

My memory of Tommy was a curling game at a Wauwatosa Wisc. bonspiel in the late 70’s. I was playing with Jeanne and Bill Gilmore and my husband Henry, representing Wilmette,Il Curling Club. We were 0-10 at the end of the 6th end. Rather than concede to Tommy we chose to play one more end. We scored 5 points , then preceded to score another 5 in the 8th to tie the score. Tom couldn’t believe it (and neither could we)! As he had last rock and with us having the scoring rock in the house he had to make a cold draw to the button to win the tie, which he did, and saved the day for his team. This was a truly a memorable game, one I have never forgotten. Such a great memory of such a nice man, and a fine curler. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family at this time. Our deepest sympathy to Tom’s sisters and their families. Our oldest son worked three summers during college under Tom’s supervision at the “county parks”. If there is a memorial service locally, I would like to be notified.

I have fond memories of Tom growing up in Gladstone . When Tom came to town he always made a point of stopping to see me which was very much appreciated. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
