Thomas Bell, Sr., age 78, of 611 South Lincoln Road, Escanaba, died Tuesday afternoon June 30, 2015, at home with his family by his side.
Tom was born August 7, 1936 in Faithorn, the son of Laurence and Geraldine Bell. He was a 1954 graduate of Bark River High School. Tom was united in marriage to Jacqulyn Goodreau on July 14, 1956 at the First United Methodist Church in Escanaba. Jackie preceded him in death in 2005. Tom owned and operated Tom Bell Carpet Service until 1981 and then went to work for Mead Paper Co. He retired from Mead in 2001.
Tom was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Escanaba. His interests included hunting and working in his garage. His family was very special to him and his legacy will be felt for generations to come.
Tom is survived by son: Thomas (Jani) of Escanaba, daughters: Jody Bell and Peggy Weissert of Gladstone, 9 grandchildren: Jackie (Tommy), Lindsay, Tom lll (Andrea), Michael, Samantha, Terri, Amber, Peter, and Sydney, 6 great-grandchildren: Teagan, Mamadou, MacKenzie, Hannah, Jason, and Sara, sister: Marion Tomich of Carlton, MI, brother: Wally(Camille) Bell of Appleton, WI, and sister-in-law: LaVerne Bell of Bark River.
In addition to his wife and parents, Tom was preceded in death by brothers: Bill, Jack, Lyle, Bob, and Larrry.
