Back in the 70’s, Theresa was in the TOPS club with my Aunt Pearl Anderson and other members of our family. She was such a fun person to be around and I am so sorry to hear she died. I will always remember our times with her going out to eat after our “weigh in” at Tops… She was one special lady!

    Kirk and Yvonne,
Sorry for the loss of your grandmother Lippens. We never got to meet her, but she sounded like a very “giving of herself” woman.

This morning (August 26, 2011) my sister Joyce called me and told me the sad news of Aunt Theresa’s passing. Aunt Theresa was always so kind and understanding. I remember all the visits to her house when I was a small child. In fact I really scared her once when I wandered off from her house. I was approximately 4 years old. My family was working at my Grandpa Franks farm. Aunt Theresa was watching me. Aunt Theresa had laid down with Vicki, who was an infant. I was playing and suddenly realized I was all alone. I saw Aunt Theresa and Vicki sleeping in bed. I got scared and starting walking to Grampa Franks farm, not too sure if I was even going in the right direction. I did make it to the farm. Aunt Theresa wakes up and I’m missing. I really scared her. I told this story to Aunt Theresa in 2009 at my mother’s (Ruth Lippens) birthday party. I’m glad I had the opportunity to talk to her then and to apologize for scaring her so many years ago. Throughout the years I think of her often and will always consider her one of my favorite aunts. I send my condolences to all. I will remember Aunt Theresa with a smile.

I was heartsick to learn of your mom’s passing. Over the years, she and I became very dear friends. We exchanged Christmas cards and “Thinking of You” notes; we shared family events and compared medical files! Her soft smile and gentle hugs will remain with me forever. I will miss her deeply.

To Theresas’ family! So sorry to hear about the loss of your sweet mother and gramma! She was always so nice thu all the years I have known her. I found this poem and thought it would be of some comfort to you all! “Even though she’s gone her memory still remains in our hearts. Her smile and face will never fade. We think of her as we go on each day. The good times we remember and the days spent together will be in our memories forever. So when you start to get down and you really want to cry just think of the fun times and don’t wonder why. Just leave it at that and know she’s better now. She’s in a better place. Her heart was right with God. So Theresa we love you and we miss you so much but we know you’re much happier. So watch over us and make sure we’re okay and we will see you again someday.” You are all in our thoughts and prayers and hope you find comfort in knowing she is sitting at the feet of Jesus and no longer in pain!
