Sue Carol (Raison) Alperovitz, age 72, of 1117 1st Avenue South, Escanaba, passed away Thursday evening June 11, 2009 at the Elder Inn in Rapid River where she currently was a resident.
Sue was born April 24, 1937 the daughter of Gerald and Ruth (Boyle) Shirk in Manistique, MI.

Sue worked and volunteered for many years at Christian Park. She also was a Senior Companion at Northwood

    Sue was not only my Avon lady for years, she was a dear friend and a very kind hearted lady. She always had a hug waiting when I ran into her while out shopping in the stores. I will miss seeing her. My deepest sympathy to her family.

    Sue was a great influence in the Bay de Noc Belles of the Red Hat Society club, Escanaba, joining in 2003. She was a “spark plug” with high-energy participation and received a plaque from the club for her efforts. Sue will be long-remembered and very much missed.
