Stewart “ Corky” L. Hursh, 67, of Escanaba passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
Corky was born on November 29, 1953 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Stewart and Gloria (Woodruff) Hursh. He graduated from Hill McCloy High School in Montrose, MI in 1971. He worked in the Public Works Department with the City of Gladstone for many years, was an avid Detroit Lions fan, was a good husband and father and was proud of his children and grandchildren. He was united in marriage to Donna Heslip on July 17, 2004.
Corky is survived by his wife, Donna Hursh of Escanaba; father, Stewart Hursh of Gaylord, MI; siblings, Sherry Siemion of Vanderbilt, MI, David (Karla) Hursh of St. Charles, MI, Susan (Mike) Schepperly of Charlevoix, MI and Carol Hursh of Gaylord, MI; numerous nieces and nephews; children, Ryan (Alexis Baker) Grenier, Kayla (Kyle Doneau) Grenier and Nicholas (Kaylee Kobasic) Anderson all of Escanaba and grandchildren- Jersey, Chase, Arianna, Liam, Rogue.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Hursh, brother-Danny Hursh and brother-in-law, Dan Siemion.
Memorial services for Corky will be held at a later date and will be announced by the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba.
