Sandra Fern Gibbons, age 71, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully Friday morning, November 15, 2019 at Christian Park Center.

Sandy was born June 18, 1948, in Escanaba, the daughter of Edwin and Bethel (Culliton) Gibbons. She was raised in Brampton and graduated from Rapid River High School. She furthered her education at Bay de Noc Community College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

2 Sons: Richard Johnston of Gladstone, MI
Mark Johnston of Rapid River, MI
1 Daughter: Janet Johnston of Gladstone, MI
3 Brothers: Patrick Gibbons of Bark River, MI
Robert Allan (Mary) Gibbons of Christmas, MI
Michael Gibbons of Detroit, MI
1 Sister: Betty Dahn of GLadstone, MI
4 Grandchildren: Jacob, Wyatt, Zachary, and Kyley.
1 Sister-In-Law: Connie Gibbons
And numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

In addition to her Parents, Sandy is preceded by a Brother, Tom Gibbons.

Family will receive friends Saturday, November 23, 2019 from Noon until 2:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. A luncheon will follow at 3:00 PM at First Lutheran Church at 1212 Minneapolis Avenue in Gladstone. Sandy will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Gibbons family.

    To the family of Sandra gibbons, I am so sorry for ur loss, Sandra was a good friend of mine and I love her dearly. My she Rest In Peace. Until we meet again my sweet and dearest friend.

    To the Family of Sandra Gibbons. I took care of Sandra for several years and really cared for her. I went to see her Saturday morning and was inform that she had passed away. I will miss her.

    To the Family and Friends of Sandra Gibbons. I went to Rapid River High School with Sandy and then worked with her at Pathways where she was an RN. Sandy was a great friend and we always had fun together with the rest of the Ogontz, Ensign, and Rapid River gang. She was an excellent nurse – very caring and skilled. I will miss not seeing her at school reunions and my sincere sympathy to her family and many friends.

    Am saddened to hear of Sandy’s passing. Have always liked her even though I didn’t know her well.

    Sandy and I were classmates, 4-H members from the Ensign area, and the last time I saw her was at our 50th class reunion in 2016. Sandy and I knew each during our career years too. I knew she was not in good health during the time before our reunion as well as after. It is with sincere sympathy to her family as she has left memories for you to remember
