Sallie K. Timler, age 53, of Escanaba passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012, surrounded by her family, at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba.
Sallie was born March 15, 1959 in Escanaba, the daughter of Richard E.
Sally,I have not seen you in years but I can still remember all the laughter I shared with you working at First National Bank. We had many, many memories there. The Christmas party is one of the most vivid memories I have, Don you might remember this one. My ex husband Bart Mathias and I were sitting at the same table with you and Sally and they played “Chestnuts roasting by an open fire” and for some reason all 4 of us just cracked up and could not stop laughing. It was a great time that night long long ago. Those are the memories I have of Sally, she was a fantastic friend and I will dearly miss her. You have 4 wonderful boys and I know how proud she was of all of them, she talked about them all the time. She was a great friend to me and I will always remember her laugh and smile, She was a fantastic person. Sorry for your loss of this beautiful woman, mother, & grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all…….my condolences to the whole family. All my love and blessings to you, Pamela Bascom, former Pamela Mathias

We are so very sorry for all Sallie went through these past months. Please accept our sympathy. She was so lucky to have had such a wonderful, supportive family. We will be returning home from Mexico this weekend, so will not be able to be with you in person, but will be in spirit.

I went to school with her son, Jacob, since elementary school at Holy Name and didn’t know she was sick. I just wanted your family to know that she was such a great person which I’m sure you already know. I remember when she worked at Holy Name and a few of us girls would follow her around just to talk while she was outside watching over all the kids at recess. She never seemed to be bothered by us (which I’m sure some days we drove her crazy!)and she was always happy. It might seem like a small thing but after all these years I still remember that and how kind she was! The world lost an amazing person and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Don and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. You all were her pride and joy! She was one of the best people I had the privilege to ever work with for 11 years. We had many laughs and enjoyed working together till I moved in 2007. She was a hard worker but talked about you all, all the time. Her best job was being a wife, mother and then you guys made her a Grandmother and she was so proud. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and Sallie, so sorry she had to suffer, but she is out of pain now and walking with her Dad. She will truly be missed and may god be with you during this time of sorrow.

Dear Don, Jeff, Tim, Jacobe and Tyler:
I will be out of town at the time of your wife/mother’s service. I was so shocked to see she had died, and at the age of 53 no less. I did not know she was sick. Sallie was a beautiful woman and I know you will miss her very, very much. She will always be with you spiritually and the memories you have will always be with you as well. God needed another beautiful Angel, and he chose to take Sallie. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

To Sallie’s Family,
Our sincere sympathy to you all at this most difficult time. Wanda, please know that I’d be there for you, but Tom and I are in Florida right now. God be with you all.
I think about you every day. You taught me that family was the most important thing. Thank you for investing so much of yourself into Jeff, Jacob, Tyler and me. Some of us needed more than the others, but you never gave up on any one of us. Thank you for the life lessons you taught me, especially the hard ones. I want you to know that all the frustration was not in vain. You left this life with 3 grandchildren. Now you have 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. You finally got grand-daughters too – 4 beautiful granddaughters, in fact. I wish you were here to see them, even though I know you see them everyday in your new, eternal life. I love you, Mom.
