Ruth F. Listle, age 90, of 7536 Co. 426 M.5 Road, Gladstone, died early morning Monday October 25, 2004 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Ruth was born February 7, 1914, in Gladstone, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Swenson) Lundstrom, who preceded her in death. She was raised in the Gladstone area and attended the Gladstone schools. Following school, Ruth moved to Racine, WI where she lived and worked for a period of time before eventually relocating back to the Delta County area where she married the late Walter Listle on November 9, 1935 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock. The couple made their home in the Groos area and Ruth is remembered for working very hard as a homemaker raising their eight children. In their younger years, the couple enjoyed snowmobiling together. Ruth also enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, and playing cards with family and friends. She was an avid Green Bay Packer

I would like to send my deepest sympathies all Ruth’s family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. I will always remember my Grandma for the special smile she had. I know she is smiling down on all of us. No words can be said about losing a loved one, especilly a wonderful, loving Grandmother. I will always remember the many good times as a child I had with her. Ruth will be remembered for the wonderful cook she was, mine was her pork roast and homemade apple sauce. As a child I always looked forward to her mittens and socks she would knit us to keep us warm. Gram you will be sadly missed by everyone. I will miss her dearly, as I know many others will. I am so very proud to have called her my Grandma. I love you.

To my Mom. There are so many things to remember you with. From the many times I watched you rocking one of your children late at night to the hours you spent at the stove cooking for all of us. The many days when we arrived home from school to find the fresh baked breads, pies, cookies or whatever you managed to fit in your busy day. The times you sat and played cards with us and made us the special Spanish Rice that we all loved. Getting up so early on those cold winter mornings was a normal thing for you. You always made sure the furnace was well filled and the heat was flowing out of the vents by the time we got up.
Mom, today is your anniversary, Nov. 9th, and I know you and Dad are together once again. So cheers to you both. You are the best, Mom. I truly miss you so much right now but the many fine memories will ease the saddness and bring a smile to all of us. You are the best, Mom. Love you so much.

To my Grandma, I wanted to start by telling you, you were the best Grandma and I love you very much. I have nothing but great memories with you. Everytime I would come a visit you opened up you house and heart to me. I will always remember all the great meals you cooked. I remember going to the store with you and you always got what we wanted and loved making us happy. I still have the mittens and socks that you knitted for me when I was a child. Grandma i will always remember your great smile and generous heart. I will miss you dearly and will never forger what a great grandma you were. I am so honored to be called you granddaughter.
