Rose Anita Leach of 2916 Lathrop Lane, Rock, passed away Sunday October 20, 2013 at St Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Rose was born March 25, 1927 in Lathrop, MI the daughter of Frank and Martha (Johnson) Johnson. She was a graduate of Rock High School class of 1945. On February 8, 1947 she married Fred H Leach in Gladstone MI. Community involvement included 4-H leader, bible school teacher, foster grandparent and proudly carrying the American flag for the Rock Auxiliary post 559.
Her working years began as a telephone operator shortly after graduation in Chicago IL. She retired at the age of 79 as a motel desk clerk in Gwinn, MI. Most of her employed years, as in daily life, involved taking care of people, their needs & comfort. Most rewarding being time spent at Bay Cliff Health Camp.
