Ronald K. LaCasse, age 80, passed away early Tuesday morning, February 25, 2020, at his home in Soo Hill.
Ron was born June 24, 1939, in Escanaba, the son of Charles and Marcella (Michel) LaCasse. He was raised in Escanaba and attended the Escanaba Schools.
On December 2, 1961, Ron was united in marriage to the former Judy Lee Lagerquist, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapid River, and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Soo Hill. Ron was employed at the Delta County Road Commission for 40 years. Ron enjoyed woodworking, working at his friend Paul’s garage, cutting kindling and rhubarb and spending time in his garden.
In addition to his loving wife Judy, Ron is survived by:

Daughter- Lisa (Pam Caron) LaCasse
Grandchildren- Katie (Nick VanWagner) LaCasse, Tyler (Jessica) Tyson, Amber (Scott Robbins) Wilson
Great Grandchildren: Zachary, Marleigh, Emma, Tyson, Boe
Sisters-in-law: Dell Jean Kadletz, Mary Ann (John) Parrett
Special Friend: Paul (Bobbi Jo) Viau
Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marcella:

Ron’s family will receive friends on Thursday, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM, at Christ the King Church in Escanaba. Funeral services will follow visiting hours, at 4:00PM, at Christ the King Church in Escanaba, with Pastor Bethany Rutten-Kempees and Pastor Stephen Gauger officiating. Luncheon will follow in the Christ the King Fellowship Hall. Memorial contribution may be directed to UP Health System Home Care and Hospice. Envelopes will be available throughout visitation or at the Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County. Ronald will be laid to rest privately at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting with arrangements.
