Roger Thomas “Tom” Hanley, age 77, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at UP Health Systems in Marquette.

Tom was born September 10, 1940, in Escanaba, the son of Roger Francis and Eleanor (Bolger) Hanley. He graduated from Holy Name Catholic High School in 1958.

Tom was owner and operator of Hanley Trucking for many years. He also drove truck for AM Express Inc. and worked as a Federal Mail Contractor.

In his younger years, Tom loved to go hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Star Route Association, NRA, and Ducks Unlimited.

Tom enjoyed being with his family, friends, and his favorite dog and companion, Bob. He also liked riding his Harley motorcycle.

2 Sons: Roger Allen (Paula Brown) Fritz of Escanaba
Robert Francis Hanley of Escanaba
Daughter-In-Law: Robin Benn
4 Grandchildren: Alexis and Jordan Bosna, Mercedes Ann and Porscha Mae Hanley
Nieces and Nephews: Patty Menard (John Petty) Robert Johnson, and Jacy Johnson

In addition to his Parents, Tom was preceded in death by his Sister, Mary Pat, and a Niece.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Hanley family.
