Rodney Richard Wills Sr, 71, of 574 N. 14th Street, Gladstone, MI passed away Friday evening November 10, 2017 at home following a lengthy illness.
Rodney was born December 1, 1945 in Marquette, MI the son of Robert and Cleo (Akerley) Wills. Rodney was raised in Gwinn and later Escanaba where he attended Escanaba Public Schools.
Rodney was united in marriage to the former Wanda Robinson on July 3, 1965. They resided in Two Rivers, WI for two years before returning to Gladstone where they raised their 3 children. Rodney worked for Harnischfeger Corporation in Escanaba before it’s closure and later did construction work for many years. He later owned and operated his own auto repair shop out of his garage. For several years he also owned and operated the Ice Cream Truck in Gladstone.
Rodney loved to spend time at camp with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a “Jack of all trades” for his fixing abilities of plumbing, electrical or mechanical repair. He will be sadly missed.

Linda Kidd of Escanaba
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Janice Kidd preceded Rodney in death.
According to Rodney’s wishes, no visitation or funeral services will be held.
