Roberta “Bobbie” J Hartman, age 88, of Gladstone passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.

Bobbie was born January 25, 1932 in Escanaba, the daughter of Francis and Eva (Blair) Rabitoy. She was a 1951 graduate from the Gladstone High School. She was united in marriage to Thomas D. Hartman on March 3, 1952. Tom and Bobbie were married for 56 years, having met while they were both serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She worked as a O.B. Technician and assisted in the delivery and after care of babies. Bobbie had a love for art and she taught art classes for 12 years from her studio in Gladstone. She loved water colors, oils, charcoals and pastels. Most of her grandchildren spent time with her in her art studio learning from her. Most everyone in the family has at least one of her landscape paintings. She was a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church and her and Tom operated an Adult Foster Care Home in Gladstone for 16 years.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Deborah (Lester) Richer of Perronville, MI, David (Sandy) Hartman of Escanaba, MI, William (Donna) Hartman of Sheboygan, WI, Dale (Cinde, deceased) Hartman of Gladstone, Susan (Dave) Lancour of Cape Coral, FL, Bruce (Barb) Hartman of Escanaba, MI, Darlene Hartman, (Shaun Fox) of Menasha, WI; 30 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren, and one Great Great on the way; one brother, Richard (Shirley) Rabitoy of Gladstone, MI, one sister, Sister Rita Mae Rabitoy of Milwaukee, WI and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, daughters Linda Hartman and Deloris St Cyr, brother, Francis Rabitoy, Jr., sister, Carol J and Brother-in-law Wayne Louis, and her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 7 at 5:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Jamie Ziminski officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Bobbie will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.

The family is being assisted by the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.
