Robert Lee Leach, age 81, of Escanaba passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Marquette General Hospital.
Robert was born February 19, 1932 in Rapid River, the son of Percy and Orza Lee (Young) Leach. He attended the Salvation Army Church in Escanaba and enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, camping, hunting, animals and watching the races at the fairgrounds where his son raced.
Robert is survived by his wife Maria of Escanaba; sons, Allen (Krystal) Kirkpatrick of Hermansville, Robert (Sarah) Kirkpatrick of Gladstone and Percy Leach of Escanaba; step-sons, John Robert Wiegers of Grand Rapids and Samuel Wiegers of Escanaba; daughters, Tara Schieber of Escanaba, Cammille Leach of Louisiana and Charlotte (Jeff) Sterns of Escanaba; his brother, David Leach of Brampton; sisters, Jean Willette of Green Bay, Shirley (Randy) Nelson of Brampton, Carol Marohnic and Sharon and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Leach.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 5 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Salvation Army in Escanaba. Memorial Services will follow at 4:30 PM with Major Ralph Hansen officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall. Robert will be laid to rest in the Rapid River Cemetery.
The family is being assisted by the Skradski Family Funeral Home.
