Robert ‘Bob’ Darmogray

Resided in Gladstone, MI
Died March 5, 2021

Robert “Bob” Walter Darmogray of Gladstone, MI passed away peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021. He was surrounded by his wife Carol and their children and grandchildren by his side.

Bob was born in Lansing, MI on November 10, 1946 to Walter and Margaret Darmogray. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1964 and from Cleary Business College in 1966. On August 18, 1967 he married the former Carol Paul. Bob worked in the family business, Gray Jewelers in Wayne, MI until 1970 when he moved the family to Gladstone, MI and opened Gray Jewelers in the Delta Plaza mall. Bob loved his work and even continued to do jewelry repairs after retirement. Bob was an avid golfer and a member of the Gladstone Golf Course. If he wasn’t at home, you could almost always bet he was at the course, either golfing with his buddies or sitting at the “round table” talking and telling stories. He loved to watch the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red wings and more importantly spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife Carol of 53 years, three daughters, Jennifer (Bryan) Lombard and their children Doug and Alex, Julie (Steve) Theoret and their children Andrew, Adam, Anna and Ryan, Jackie (Tony) Fornetti and their children Chloe, Lucy and Chase; one son, Joe (Jeanette) Darmogray and their children Kyle and Tyler; his brother, Don (Debbie) Darmogray; son in law, Karl Scheeneman; great granddaughter Blakely; niece Kate and his beloved dogs, Beau and Max who were his shadow.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Nick and his niece, Kristi.

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

Keeping with Bobs wishes, there will not be a funeral and instead will have a Celebration of Life at a later time.

The family would like to thank all of his friends who called to say hello or stopped by and visited with him as his health decreased. Also would like to say thank you to all the nurses that helped him along the way.
