Robert A. Leadman, age 89 of Stonington, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.
Robert (Bob) as some people referred to him, was born on December 4, 1930, a lifelong resident of Stonington. He was raised on the family farm. When Bob was a young boy, his father, John Leadman passed away and he stayed to help his mother Alice (Anderson). On November 15th 1963 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Deloris Brannstrom and gained a daughter. Robert was a very hard worker. He was often seen making hay or working on farm equipment. Bob was quiet in nature but known to be stubborn and a tease. As a young man he loved to show his talent walking on stilts and even made a pair for his daughter so they could compete. He was a man of little words but had great faith in the Lord.

Daughter: Terri (Phil) Asplund of Bark River, MI
4 Grandchildren: Jacki (David) Adams, Peter (Amanda) Jandro, Cory (Rebecca) Jandro, Haley (Gunnar) Madden.
8 Great Grandchildren: Caleb, Kyle, Cameron, Carson, Ethan, Paxton, Paisley, Weston.
And numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
In addition to his Parents, Bob is preceded in death by:
Infant brother: Carl Leadman
5 Sisters: Mildred Nye, Jenny Winchester, Dorothy Erickson, Ethel Helman, Alda Anderson.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 21 from 1:30 until 3:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow visiting hours at 3:30 PM with Sue Young officiating at the Skradski Funeral Home. Bob will be laid to rest in the Lakewood Cemetery in Stonington. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the family.
