My first memory of Dick Scriptor or “Script” as my Dad called him, was when I was 7 or 8. He came to our house to see Dad after he had kidney surgery. This was in the 70’s before there was long term disability or even sick leave. Script handed my mom what looked to me like a huge wad of cash. He had taken up a collection at Federal Screw Works to help us out while Dad recovered. This was the kind of person and friend Script was to my Dad. I will always cherish the friendship he had with our Family.

Dick you were such a jovial and funny guy who always had a smile on his face. I remember as a kid coming up with my parents to buy your camper. My dad Ralph loved hanging with his buddy Dick and at home would say “more people should be like him”. It’s something I never forgot. Sis you guys are such a fun & loving couple. One day we will all be reunited but hopefully not toooooo soon. Sending my deepest sympathies but a BIG send off to DICK! See you on the other side, give my mom & dad a big squeeze. Love you all…. I would take my young boys into Blue Gills Bait Shop for nightcrawlers to go fishing, Dick would always dump them out on the counter so we could see that they were lively and he would “Bless” them for the boys. They loved it and just knew that was why they always caught some fish. R.I.P. Dick
