Regina R. Eis, age 80, of Escanaba, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Listed among those surviving is her husband Chris Eis. A full obituary will be forthcoming and will be announced by the Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County.

Regina “Jeanie” Rae Eis, age of 80, of Ford River, passed away on August 6, 2024 at St. VIncent Hospital in Green Bay, WI.

Jeanie was born April 7, 1944 in Escanaba, the daughter of the late Ernest “Pat” and Yvonne “Peggy” (Gosselin) Cormier.

She married Christian Eis on October 22, 1988 and they made their home in Ford River, Michigan.

Jeanie had an incredible sense of humor; she loved creating memories that would last forever, as family was her greatest joy. She was a proud honorary life member of Escanaba Eagles Aerie 1088.

Together with James Valiquette, they raised six children and always remained friends.

Her survivors include her husband Christian Eis; her children David (Nancy) Mitchell, Sandra (Robert) Mayrand, Patrick (Debbie) Valiquette, James (Bruce Tharnish) Valiquette, Peggy (Mark Coyne) Mortl, and Carrie (Daniel) Schaut; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Sandy Tebear; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters Darlene Meier and Judith Cormier-Waeghe; great grandson Keegan Korman; nephew Steven Meier; father of her children James Valiquette; and her best friends Richard (Satch) Olsen and Donna Tadych.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
