Raymond Leadman, 73, of Rapid River, Mich., passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Upper Peninsula Health System in Marquette.
Raymond was born April 18, 1942 in Stonington, the son of Rudolph and Mary (Erickson) Leadman. He was raised in Stonington and was baptised and confirmed at the Bethel Lutheran Church. Raymond worked for the Rapid River Creamery and as a carpenter for the Mohawk Company in Chicago for many years until he retired. He also worked at the Escanaba Feed Mill as a driver. Raymond also served in the United States Army during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. Raymond enjoyed driving around and visiting family and friends in Stonington and was very fond of his nieces, nephews and step daughter.
Raymond is survived by his sister, Eleanor Siitar of Rapid River, numerous nieces and nephews and his step daughter, Joyce.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Gladys Jacobson and Esther Wils and his brothers, Wilbert and Edward Leadman.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Memorial services will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Susan Sundstrom Young officiating
