Several years ago Randy became our friend when he did some work for us as part of the Erickson Plastering Company. I quickly understood that he was no ordinary laborer nor an ordinary man. He was a craftsman of the highest order and his work was meticulous. There are few craftsmen in the country able to do the work that he could do. I was inspired with his devotion to God and to his children Bethany and Sarah. The time he spent with his children was very precious to him. We often talked about raising children and his decisions were always selfless. He wanted to do the best for them. We had many long discussions about his childhood, how he developed his craft and the importance of Christ in his life. This was a man of much greater character than the unassuming person he appeared.
We will miss him greatly. May he be at piece with Christ

I am a member of Harbor Lights Church of God in Gladstone. I didn’t know Randy real well but I did have the opportunity to go to a Tuesday night prayer meeting in Manistique with him, Annette and Dave Pederson. The night was meant for him, all who were there got to hear from him and how much his daughters meant to him and how much he appreciated them and loved them. We all prayed and worshipped God and gave glory to Jesus Christ for His sacrifice and we took communion together.I know that Randy felt our love and prayers that night and I am so glad that I was there to be a part of that. My thoughts and prayers today are with you …his family….he is now truely alive and well…God Bless You and always remember that you will someday be united with Randy…
