Peter “Pete” Nadeau, died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at his home in Springfield, Louisiana, at the age of 70. He was born on October 18, 1946. He was a member of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. He served in the U.S. Army and was a native of Nahma, Michigan. His survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Carrie Winkler, Grand Haven, Michigan; three grandchildren, Emma Winkler, Caitlin Nadeau and Skylar Skeels; one great-grandchild, Gabriella Ann Clymer; two brothers, Philip Nadeau, Gladstone, Michigan and Bob Nadeau, Denham Springs, Louisiana; two sisters, Roberta “Babe” Williamson, Sumrall, Mississippi, and Carol “Penny” Gagnon, Walker, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his son Mitchell Anthony “Andy” Nadeau; parents, Robert and Cecelia Boursaw Nadeau; three brothers, George, Tony, and Joe Nadeau; and two sisters, Theresa Nadeau and Sally Strate. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
