Pennie L. Wilson, age 76, of Powers passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI.
Pennie was born October 20, 1946 in Fond du lac, Wisconsin. Her calling was to be a nurse. She spent 22 years in Alaska, many of those years as a CNA for the Sate of Alaska. She was united in marriage to James Warren Wilson on August 4, 1970 in Palmer, Alaska. They were still very much in love being married for 52 years and together for 55. Pennie was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church and the Moose Lodge in Palmer. She loved her family and traveling with her husband. She had a passion for dancing and enjoyed listening to her husband’s band and his singing. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, playing bingo, her cats and was an avid Green Bay Packer and NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart fan.
Pennie is survived by her husband, James of Powers, her daughter, Shannon (Robert “Bob” DePaoli) Wilson of Powers, grandchildren, Eric (Keri) Britton, Chelbi Piche, Gary Wilson and many more, her siblings,  Bonnie Miron, Fred (Kathy) Kimpel and John (Alida) Kimpel and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Kimpel, her father, Fred Kimpel, her son, Joseph Wilson and great grandson, Liam Leeseburg.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 10 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM EST at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba with a Closing Prayer at 3:00 PM. A luncheon will follow at the 47 Tavern in Wilson.
