Paulene S. Peterson, age 83, of 1326 Michigan Avenue, Gladstone, passed away Sunday evening October 27, 2013 at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers following a brief illness.

Paulene was born March 7, 1930 in Gladstone, MI the daughter of Jack and Theresa (Marohnic) Majestic. She was raised in Gladstone where she was a 1949 graduate of Gladstone High School.

Pauline was united in marriage to Robert E. Stephens on December 17, 1949. Robert preceded her in death on November 22, 1971. She married John Peterson on December 8, 1972 and John preceded her in death on August 17, 2012.

Pauline was a member of the Community Church of Christ in Gladstone. She will be remembered for being a wonderful mother, grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed having her children and grandchildren around her. Paulene was an instigator and she loved to tease and have fun with everyone. Her hobbies included collecting thimbles, refrigerator magnets, doing puzzles and making crafts. Paulene was known around town for always sharing her delicious home made baked goods with everyone.

    I’m so sorry about your loss. I will always remember what a firecracker she was. I loved hanging out at your house after High School and eating Mac and Cheese! Love you, rest in peace.

    To the family of Paulene. She was a special person, you are are blessed to have had her as a mom. She put up with a lot of stuff from so many of us, and with her own methods… Love her. As the old saying goes, keep her memories alive and laugh when you can, you know she will want that. God Bless you all, you are all in my and Terry’s thoughts and prayers.

    Terri and family so sorry to hear of your loss, I will miss your mom, thought about her often. Wish I could have seen her more than what I did. She always kept us well fed at the Team Spirits Bar with her female and male banana bread.

    Our deepest of sympathy to the family of Paulene. She was first a friendly, kind neighbor to us and then became a treasured friend. We will miss seeing her, but we have many wonderful memories of her and how she affected our lives. God Bless.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Paulene was an awesome lady and friend. She signed hundreds of cards for the troops, for my troops care packages thru the years, along with John and several of their friends. I will never forget her. She will be missed.
