To the family/friends of Paul – Ron and I both worked with Paul at Lakeside Machine for 7 1/2 years. He was so nice, always cracking somebody up, and had a compliment for me every single day!!! I looked forward to going out into the shop and seeing him. Rely on each other and your wonderful memories to get you through this very challenging time. May you rest in peace Paul.

I will miss Paul so much. I have so many great memories of all the good times we had. Paul made a great addition to the many family events he attended over the years, and couldn’t help but become an extended member. We will all love and miss you, Paul.

I am saddened to learn of Paul’s passing. The Makosky cousins were the only cousins I knew growing up in Iowa, and I treasure the few times we were able to spend together. It is because of Paul I don’t do roller coasters today!!! For many summers either we would go to Escanaba, or Jan and the boys to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. One summer their visit coincided with the All Iowa Fair. I had never been on a roller coaster before and begged Paul to go with me. He would not budge!! Then he told me the story of how he was at a fair in Escanaba and the roller coaster car ran right off the track and flying through the air killing people. I don’t know if the story was true, but for a young child, it scared me and cured me of ever having a thrill for roller coasters! I have thought of you often through the years wondering where life had taken you. Please know you will always hold a special place in my heart.

Paul will be missed by all the staff at the Arts Center. He often made us laugh. We would tease him for his slow ambling walk and outlook on life. He took pride in his work and liked that he had a part in keeping this place looking neat and orderly. He will be missed.
