Patricia Valen Soper, age 72, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 9, 2020, at U.P. Health System in Marquette.
Pat was born February 14, 1948, in Escanaba, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Daily) Summers. She was raised in Escanaba and was a graduate of Escanaba High School. On October 3, 1964, Pat was united in marriage to John R. Soper Sr., at Holy Family Church in Flat Rock, and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Riverland. Pat enjoyed tending to her house plants, playing bingo and taking trips to the casino, online shopping, ordering gifts for her family. Pat loved to spend time with her family and will be deeply missed by all.

Pat is further survived by her 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary, her loving husband of 49 years, John Sr.:

Funeral services for Pat will be held privately by her family. Pat will be laid to rest next to her husband John in the Soper Family Cemetery in Riverland.
