Patricia Beauchamp, also known as “Pat,” passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 73 at her home in Flat Rock after a prolonged illness.

 

Pat was born on September 11, 1949, in Escanaba, MI, to Frank and Mary (Rudden) Stoykovich. She graduated from Escanaba Area Schools in 1967 and was united in marriage to Jim Beauchamp from Flat Rock on August 31, 1968.

 

Pat was a dedicated public servant who served as the Escanaba Township Clerk for over 34 years. Prior to this, she worked at The House of Ludington and the Bishop Noa Home. Pat was also an entrepreneur, running her own business, Pat’s Crafts and Gifts, where she sold her handmade ceramics and crafts.

 

Pat loved spending time outdoors, playing cards, hunting, and camping. She and her husband Jim enjoyed spending the winter months at their winter home in Florida. Pat was a devoted mother and grandmother who spent countless hours cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events.

 

Pat is survived by her husband Jim; four sons, Jim Jr. (fiancé Julie Bell) of Gladstone, Kevin (Bridget) of Neenah, WI, Dave (Jennifer) of Oscoda, MI, Dan (Sara) of DeMotte, IN; 1 sister and 4 brothers, Gayle Stoykovich, Frank Stoykovich,  Jr, John (Connie) Stoykovich, Steve (Lori) Stoykovich, Tom (Mitch) Stoykovich, eight grandchildren; JJ, Brittany, John, Brandon, Tyler, Riley, Jessica, Nick and five great grandchildren; Caitlyn, Leo, Nathan, Amelia and Jaxten.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary, as well as her mother-in-law Agnes, father-in-law Bill, and granddaughter Lauren.

 

Family will receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 2:00 until 5:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 6:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock with Rev. Fr. Christian Flagstadt officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Pat will be laid to rest in the Escanaba Township Cemetery in Flat Rock. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Beauchamp family.

    Uncle Jim and family-
    My sincere and deepest condolences. I will be keeping you all in my prayers. I will miss her dearly, her Facebook birthday messages, she never missed one single birthday! I will always remember the summers in the UP, her laugh and the way she called me “Trish the Dish”. I love you all and will be thinking of you in the days to come.

    To Pat. You were a wonderful sister-in-law and friend who I will miss terribly. We shared many things in the last 55 years and your dedication to your family, friends and co-workers will be our lost. Rest in peace with no pain. My thoughts and prayers are with Jim, the boys and the rest of the family.
