Patricia A. Marenger, age 86, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family Tuesday morning, July 23, 2019, at Pinecrest Medical Facility.

Patricia was born February 20, 1933, in Escanaba, the daughter of Lloyd and Clarena (Billings) Garrett. She attended Escanaba Area Schools and graduated in 1951.

Pat worked at Michigan Bell before her children were born. After that, she chose to stay home and raise her family. When her children were older, she worked at Delta County Credit Union. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived a life of love and devotion to family.
Over the years, Pat and Wally enjoyed the company of many friends. Some of her favorite things were traveling with her husband, bridge club with friends, reading, cribbage, and summer trips to the family cottage. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

2 Daughters: Mary Pat (Dennis) Leveille of Vulcan, MI
Michelle Marenger of Marquette, MI
Daughter-in-law: Doris Cayer

Grandchildren: Josh (Amber), Allen, Mavric and Patty Marenger; Jill (Brent) Boone, Scott (Mindy) Wendrick, Rob (Ali) Leveille, Rachelle (Jake) Eisenschink, Dennis, and David Leveille; Nichole and Megan Marenger; Zach and Drew Scott; Garrett (Halle), Jacob, Matthew (Sam Rosa), Grace, Elizabeth, and Isabel Marenger

Great-Grandchildren: Noah, Dominic, Amandine, Clarena, and Audra Boone; Alexa Wendrick, Elliott Marenger, and Cana Leveille.

Brother-in-law: Richard Marenger (Kay Maynard) Sister-in-law: Mildred Marenger. Sister-in-law: Mary Beauchamp (Gerald)

Family will receive friends Monday, July 29, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 5:30 PM at St. Joseph and St. Patrick’s Parish in Escanaba with Rev. Fr. Timothy Ferguson officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Patricia will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Escanaba. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Marenger family.

    My sincere condolences to the entire family. I am visiting in Washington state right now and won’t be able to attend the funeral, which I would certainly do if I were at home. I have fond memories of Pat. She was a sweet lady.

    So sad to hear of Pat’s passing, and I send sincere sympathy to all her family. Pat and I became friends after high school and then lost track of each other after we both married. She was a lovely person and will be missed.

    My deep condolences to the family. Pat and Wally stood up for us at our wedding. Pat was such a sweet person. We just lost touch when we moved. Away in the 60’s. My prayers are with the family.

    There are no words that can express what an amazing woman Pat was. I had the pleasure of getting to know her over the past year. She touched my heart and the hearts of so many. She will be missed beyond words. My condolences for your loss…

    I am so grateful to have seen my Aunt Pat this past May when I was home visiting the family. She will always hold a special place in my heart.     My sympathy to the family. Pat was a wonderful lady and a good friend of my Mom’s, whom she worked with at the credit union. She always seemed to be smiling. I wish the family peace in the wonderful memories they have of Pat.

    Aunt Pat was a very special Lady. Always loving and kind. She will be sadly missed. Don & I won’t be able to attend the Service this Monday as we will be in Marquette at an appointment for me.

THEY WERE ALWAYS FUN LOVING AND A PLEASURE TO BE WITH. OVER THE YEARS WE VISITED AND ENJOYED THERE COMPANY EVEN THOUGH WE LIVED DISTANCE APART.     My mom Margaret worked at the credit union with Pat and they had lots of laughs when they would all get together. Lots of good memories of that credit union group of friends.

    With deepest condolences to the family. May friends comfort you, faith uphold you and loving memories heal your hearts. I first met Pat and Wally in 1972, after marrying Pat’s cousin Larry. Every time we went to Michigan we always made a point to go visit Pat and Wally. Pat was always gracious, enjoyed life and loved her family. I will always remember our times together. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. May God’s Blessings be with you all.

    So much blessings to my Aunt Pat’s beautiful family…..she will be missed. I will always remember how laid back and awesome she was . She never had a bad word about anyone. What a peaceful woman and she always wanted to know how we all were, because she was so concerned. RIP Aunt Pat…..you will be missed. Her Family had the best Mom ever. Just know that she is dancing in the Heavens as we speak. You Kids have a special Angel in her. Love and love you guys. I am here if you need a chat. Much hugs and love. RIP Aunt Pat….I so love you.

    I’m so sorry to hear that Pat has passed away. We’ve been friend since 6th grade at St. Anne’s school. I was a bride’s maid at her wedding. Pat and Wally were godparents for our 2nd child, Patricia Ann. Patt was the happiest person I have ever known. We will all miss her but we can be so thankful that we are honored to be her friend. I will think of her often and thank God for her as long as I live. What an honor to be friends for 75 years.

    We are so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She was such a caring and loving person, always smiling!! Her family did have the best Mom ever. She will be missed, but always loved.

    My condolences to the family. Pat was indeed a very special lady and has left many fantastic memories for those that had the benefit of knowing her. I worked with her at Delta County Credit Union for many years. For many of us there, she was known as our “Lucille Ball”. She brought her smile and character with her to work every day.
