Norman “Norm” Wilbert Johnivan, age 84, resident of the Pine Haven Rest Home in Gladstone passed away there on Monday morning, May 23, 2011.
Norman was born June 15, 1926 in Escanaba, the son of William and Margaret (Marquette) Johnivan. Norman was a friend to many and enjoyed visiting at the fire stations, police departments and other municipalities in Gladstone and Escanaba. He was also a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Gladstone.

Norman is survived by his nieces, Betty (Louis) Stamp of Omaha, NE, Bonnie Lou Johnivan and Mary Carol Gorzinski of Escanaba, Gladys Johnivan and Shirley Pardee of Warren, MI; his nephews, Gary (Linda) Johnivan and Ronald Johnivan of Escanaba and Dennis (Gail) Johnivan of Gladstone as well as other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and three sisters.

The Johnivan family will receive friends on Friday, May 27 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Arnold Grambow officiating. A luncheon will be served following services in the All Saints Catholic Church fellowship hall.
