Nancy Jean (Stimac) Trombley, age 69 of 9784 S Pt 40th Lane, Rapid River, MI went to be with her Lord on Thursday morning April 28, 2005 following a briefillness.

Nancy was born March 15, 1936 in Munising, MI the daughter of Frank and Albena (Shega) Stimac. She was raised in Shingleton and she was a 1954 graduate of Mather High School in Munising. In High School she was active in athletics and she excelled in track & field events.

Nancy had worked in the Accounting Department for several years at Kimberly Clark Paper Company in Munising and several C.P.A.’s in Marquette. She was Chief Administrator at Pine Haven Home for the Aged which she owned with her former husband. She retired in 1992 to spend more time with her grandchildren. In addition to spending time with her children and grandchildren, her hobbies included camping, walking, knitting, crocheting, golfing and spending time helping her daughter Trudy at the Swallow Inn in Rapid River. Her children will especially remember her as being kind, generous and sacrificial in her love and care.

1 Son: Gregory Scott (Julie) Trombley of Canton, MI

2 Daugters: Tarri Ann Trombley of Orlando, FL; Trudy Marie Boyer of Rapid River

5 Grandchildren: Brett and Blake Trombley of Canton, MI; Brooke, Lexie, and Michael Boyer of Rapid River

1 Sister: Candace Steinhoff of Marquette, MI

2 Brothers: Frank (Bea) Stimac Jr. of Au Train, MI; Gregory (Barb) Stimac of Manistique, MI

Former husband Loyst Trombley of Rapid River

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy’s family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Nancy Jean Trombley will follow at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Kelto officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising. Memorial contributions in memory of Nancy may be directed to the Delta County Cancer Alliance, envelopes will be available at the Skradski Funeral Homes.
