Nancy M. Rademacher, age 74, of Chicago, formerly of Escanaba passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 19, 2012.
Nancy was born May 27, 1938 in Escanaba, the daughter of Paul and Marie (Jaeger) Rademacher. Nancy was a graduate of the Class of 1956 at the Holy Name High School and later the Alverno College in Milwaukee. She had a forty year career in publishing at Encyclopedia Britannica and Cahners, where her humor and dedication turned many co-workers into friends. For almost 50 years she delighted in Chicago and her “room with a view” in Marina City.
Nancy was the beloved little sister of Jean Benson, Paul, John, David and Bob Rademacher and was the caring “Aunt Nancy” to 54 little darlings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Ruth Ann Sullivan, Audie Feltes, Mickey Gaffney, Patricia Hoppe, Bernice Buda and Margie Gendreau.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, December 15 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph and St. Patrick Parish in Escanaba with Rev. Fr. Eric Olson officiating. Nancy will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Escanaba.
